Qiao Jingjing, a celebrity, and Yu Tu, an aerospace engineer were high school classmates. Qiao Jingjing confessed to Yu Tu twice but was rejected both times. Ten years later, Qiao Jingjing became a top celebrity. She wants to become the endorser of a video game but was exposed that her gaming skills are super bad. By chance, she meets Yu Tu, who is now an aerospace engineer and is currently feeling lost about his career. Under Qiao Jingjing's set-up, Yu Tu becomes her gaming coach. They slowly fall in love over time.

Yu Tu confesses his feelings to Qiao Jing Jing but he is rejected by her since she thinks that he’s not sincere. He fetches her back to Yixing anyway and they spend the new year separately with their own families.
When Pei Pei asks, Jing Jing doesn't want to talk about Yu Tu, yet she decides to join the class gathering because of him. Upon hearing that Jing Jing will be at the gathering, Yu Tu rushes over for her.
Qiao Jing Jing and Yu Tu are officially together. Jing Jing wants to hide their relationship from their parents, but when Yu Tu's mom catches him and Jing Jing together by their house, Jing Jing comes up with lies. Yu Tu returns the favor with Jing Jing's parents before he drives her back to Shanghai.
Yu Tu sees his teacher and his wife in the restaurant that he and Jing Jing is in, and he invites them to eat with them. The conversation turns sour when his resignation is mentioned, and Yu Tu gets mad at Jing Jing when she defends him. Afterwards, Yu Tu receives an urgent call to go on a business trip to fix a problem with J-X, so they don't see each other for some time.
