Sultan Mehmed crushed a Janissary rebellion, executing Ali Haydar and his followers. He then sent Battal and Bali Bey to eliminate bandits, capturing Ferhat’s chamberlain, Beşir, and questioning Ferhat Pasha's loyalty.
During the Ottoman attack on Constantinople, Sultan Mehmed is wounded by a Byzantine soldier, leading to a temporary retreat. Sultan Mehmed, initially despondent, is inspired by Akşemseddin to renew his belief in conquest. He sends Ferhat Pasha as an ambassador for a prisoner exchange, but Ferhat is suspected of being a spy. Ferhat is captured and brought before the Sultan. The unfolding events will determine the fate of the Ottoman army, the revelation of traitors, and the ultimate success of the conquest.
Following his triumph in the İsfendiyaroğlu campaign, Sultan Mehmed turns his focus to the Pontus Empire, aiming to secure Ottoman control over the Black Sea by targeting Trabzon. He launches a two-pronged offensive—Bali Bey leads a land assault toward the formidable Serpentine Castle, while Bahadır Pasha commands a naval bombardment from the sea. Yet, as the campaign unfolds, internal tensions rise within the palace; trust erodes, and hidden agendas emerge. Vlad, though appearing loyal, harbors secret motives, drawing Zeynel into a dangerous web of intrigue, while Kurtçu Doğan faces a personal reckoning involving both his brother and his friend.
Baltaoğlu Süleyman is found covered in blood in his tent, prompting Sultan Mehmed to order an immediate investigation. Hızır Çelebi leaves the suspects to their consciences, while Mehmed is eager for swift justice to avoid any delays in the conquest. Çandarlı dismisses the investigation as a waste of time. Amidst accusations against Bali Bey, an ambush further stirs tensions between raiders and janissaries. Zağanos and Bali Bey are held accountable, and Hamza from Köstenceli makes a decisive move, altering the balance. Saltuk announces Battal's martyrdom, and Don Francesco Constantine is troubled by the raiders near the city. Meanwhile, news of Don Francesco's arrival in Constantinople causes a stir, and Constantine considers seeking help from a warrior named Francisco. Tensions in the palace and on the front continue to rise, awaiting Mehmed's verdict.
