Cao Jing Xian forces Zang Hai to complete the general's burial mound before the Double Ninth Festival. Zang Hai has no choice but to use Zhuang Zhi Fu to resolve his issue. When Zhuang Lu Yin finds out, he questions him. Unexpectedly, Zang Hai owns up to his wrongdoings.
Zang Hai survives tomb traps and advises the Marquis on imperial burial matters. His success gains him entry to Scholar Hall, but elders distrust his intelligence and favor with the Marquis. Zhu Huai Ming warns Yang Zhen.
While repairing the Emperor's tomb, Zang Hai meets Ji Qun, his father's friend. The Marquis learns his son embezzled tomb funds, and Yang Zhen and Chu Huai Ming plot against Zang Hai to protect the culprit.
