But things go awry when Homeland Security requests that the team keep the smuggling business open so they can trap a potential terrorist. Meanwhile, Dean asks Jaimie out on a proper date just; Ty has second thoughts about his impending divorce; and Carter for a major life change.
In part two of the season finale, the team continues infiltrating a drug-smuggling ring in hopes of cornering a terrorist. But Carter and his team must choose sides.
A young black man is gunned down and evidence points to possible corruption by a noted figure in the community. Due to circumstances, the case takes on special significance for Ty.
Jaimie goes back undercover to try and get an introduction to notorious gun dealer the elusive Sanchez by way of her ex-con partner Billy Cline. But Billy finds out that it was her that got him incarcerated and blackmails her into getting a bust squashed by her boyfriend Scott. Sickened by the case Jaimie threatens to tell Scott the truth about her job but Dean tells her to get rid of him as it will only get worse.
