When the patriarch is poisoned on a mission, the three clans vie for the top seat. Su Muyu leads the Spider-Shadow unit and shields the dying leader on the road to a cure. He clashes with elder Su Zhe and old friend Su Changhe, and meets master healer Bai Hehuai. After brutal power struggles, Su Changhe becomes new patriarch and Su Muyu heads the Su clan. They launch the "Other Shore Plan" to drag Blood River out of the shadow and forge a new destiny, free from being anyone's blade.

Zhuo Qing battles Su Mu Yu, who is aided by Su Chang He. Su Zhe arrives with Bai He Huai. Bai He Huai calms Mu Yu but then suffers the backlash from the many antidotes she has refined.
Upon awakening, Su Mu Yu immediately inquires about Bai He Huai and learns that she has passed away. Su Mu Yu and Su Chang He confront the First Prince at his sedan. Years later, a long-awaited reunion takes place.
Su Zhe transfers his internal energy to Su Mu Yu using his secret art, the Divine-Demon Nirvana Art. Su Chang He returns and has a tense confrontation with the First Prince.
Su Muyu's bid for freedom sparks chaos as rival clans clash over the sword, exposing Blood River's true role in a far greater scheme.
