João Grilo gets into trouble when selling to his bosses a cat that makes money. Rosinha, daughter of authoritarian Major Antônio Morais, arrives in Taperoá and enchants Chicó.
Chicó duels the two bravest men in town for Rosinha and makes a promise. But he does not imagine that when he emerged victorious from the clash, his problems would be just beginning.
